| General Info: |
The name apparently comes from the Sinhalese word "Turamali" which was given to mixtures of unidentified gem gravels in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). |
| Additional Information |
| Another collectors color "peach" to soft red-orange. This stone color has no specific name but looks a little similar to some imperial topaz in color. The cut is only average and had the native cut "pineapple" bottom. Because tourmaline has such a complex chemical structure, it can contain a huge number of active color centers and may be found in virtually any color. |
