Jeffrey is likely the most famous of the mineral photographers and with good reason. Pick up a copy of Mineralogy, or most museum guides (on their rock and mineral collections) and you will find his photo credits throughout. Because of the quality of his work, the "best" mineral specimens just tend to float his way and thus his work grows with unbelievable samples and images. The rest of us have to work a little harder to make our "less than perfect samples" look better.
