Genral Info: The name is derived from the German "quarz" of uncertain origin. It was called "krystallos" by the Greeks, but this later became the generic term for crystal.
Additional Information
This commercial stone designed and cut by Marcelo Gemas Precious Stones. The total number of facets is quite small (11 total), and there are only 5 hemispherical depression in the back (bottom) of the stone. The large number of "apparent spherical windows" as seen through the top are due to internal reflections.
